ENHANCED PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Enhanced Player Development Program is an invite-only program that focuses on the development of individual player habits. Linking directly to our player development plans and game model, we will focus on achieving proficiency in areas such as 1v1, 2v2 attacking & defending, finishing techniques, combination play, in-game decision-making, and unit play. Our aim is to help players reach their potential by providing them with the tools and techniques they need to succeed at the highest level.

FINISHING SCHOOL FOR GOAL SCORERS

Become a more dangerous goal scorer. Foothills Finishing School will help you improve your finishing techniques and put more balls in the net. In this 8-week program, you will learn:

  • proper ball-striking techniques,
  • how to better position yourself for scoring opportunities,
  • and finally, how to turn goal-scoring chances into reality

FINISHING SCHOOL FOR GOALKEEPERS

In tandem with our Goal Scorers Finishing School, we offer an 8-week program for our Goalkeepers. We will focus on goalkeeping techniques while in and out of possession. In this 8-week program, you will learn advanced skills including:

  • positioning
  • shot stopping
  • communicating effectively
  • set pieces
  • playing out the back

WHO CAN JOIN: 

  • Open to registered members of the Calgary Foothills Soccer Club. 

  • Finishing School for Goal Scorers

    • Open to U7 - U17 

  •  Finishing School for Goalkeepers

    • Open to U9 - U17

GOALKEEPER STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Elevate your game and become an unstoppable force between the goalposts with our Goalkeeper Strength and Conditioning program at the Calgary Foothills Soccer Club. This specialized program is meticulously designed to empower goalkeepers aged 13 years and older with the physical strength needed to excel on the field. 

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  1. Customized Training: Our program tailors strength and conditioning exercises specifically for goalkeepers aged 13 and older, addressing their unique demands. From agility drills to core strength development, we've got you covered.
  2. Expert Coaching: Benefit from the guidance of experienced coaches who understand the intricacies of goalkeeping. They'll provide personalized instruction to help you reach your full potential.
  3. Injury Prevention: Learn injury prevention techniques, including warm-up routines, stretching, and exercises that target vulnerable areas. We'll keep you in peak condition and minimize the risk of injuries.

  • Goalkeepers aged 13 years and older.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

Older players looking to transition into professional and collegiate soccer will be invited into our High-Performance Program. In addition to extra sports science and technical sessions, we provide the opportunity to train with and learn from some of the best coaches in the province. Our program will help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to take your game to the next level.

NEXT LEVEL TRAINING

The Next Level training program provides an opportunity for U11-U15 players to develop strong fundamental and technical skills, as well as improve their technique, soccer IQ, and tactics. The curriculum is designed to challenge players and help them reach their personal Next Level. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to train alongside like-minded players from different age groups and be challenged in a fun and supportive environment while receiving guidance from our dedicated full-time staff coaches.
